Jamie Lee Curtis channels mum's Psycho character at Halloween Kills premiere
Halloween Kills player Jamie Lee Curtis channelled her mother Janet Leigh's iconic character in Psycho at the costume party premiere of the moving-picture show in Hollywood this week.
Wearing the same buttoned and belted calorie-free blue apparel and a blond wig, Lee Curtis completed the look with a bloodied shower curtain over one arm.
The thespian is no stranger to fancy dress, having turned upwardly as an orc to the Warcraft premiere in 2016.
Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode in the latest edition of the horror series to once once again confront off against her brutal pocketknife-wielding nemesis Michael Myers.
"It's an apologue for a lot of things," Lee Curtis said on Tuesday (October 12), when asked to draw the latest Halloween film. "It's very much a story of our times. It's about people non listening, it'south a picayune bit well-nigh misinformation, information technology'south a lot about rage and trauma, rage and trauma colliding."
Lee Curtis broke into Hollywood with her office of Strode in the 1978 original version of Halloween. She'south since returned in one form or another for 5 more Halloween movies.
"I don't empathise why people love escapist scares and even so it's given me my entire artistic life," Lee Curtis said.
"I don't try to psychoanalyse what that means. I but know that people like it and we like to deliver information technology and it'southward sort of been the great privilege of my many, many years in bear witness-off business concern."
